Lyrics
|
Let the river flow through me
Over the rocks and down the falls
And if it stops moving
It might be the cold
So don't stop moving
For you must reach your goal today
Sometimes were drowning in the river
Sometimes troubles never cease
But don't stop reaching
For the river is clear today
Why are we drawn to the river?
As clear as it can be
Why are we drawn to the river
So we can, flow into the sea
So we can, flow into the sea
Sometimes were drowning in the river
Sometime troubles never cease
But don't stop reaching
For the river is clear today
Why are we drawn to the river?
As clear as it can be
Why are we drawn to the river?
So we can, flow into the sea
So we can, flow into the sea
Flow into the sea

Short Song Description: A song about "life's rivers".
|
Long Song Description: A song that metaphorically compares a river with our lives. It refers to the "river flows" biblically-John 7:38

Story Behind the Song: I originally came up with the song while stuck in the mud in a canoe in a marsh on Cape Cod, MA (the tide had just gone out). The song evolved from there. The sheet music is available in the songbook "Sing For God in Unity".
